Terms of Service
Welcome to Plum Choice, operated by Mailquotes.com LLC ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Give us accurate information and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account.
2. Your content
What you post (recommendations, ratings, comments, trip plans, bills, book discussions) is yours. By posting it, you give us the limited license needed to store it and display it to the members of the groups you share it with. That's the whole use; we don't publish it anywhere else.
3. Community rules: zero tolerance
Plum Choice is for groups of people who know each other, and we have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post content that:
- harasses, threatens, or bullies anyone;
- is hateful or discriminatory;
- is pornographic or sexually explicit;
- promotes violence or illegal activity;
- is spam, deceptive, or impersonates someone else;
- infringes someone else's rights, including copyright.
Every group has the tools to deal with problems: a ⚑ flag on content to report it, and the ability to block any member (their content disappears for you immediately). We review reports and act within 24 hours, removing content that breaks these rules and ejecting the users who post it, up to permanently closing their accounts.
4. What we provide
- Movie and TV information comes from TMDB, and book information from Apple Books and Open Library. We don't guarantee its accuracy, and we're not affiliated with those services.
- Recommendations (including AI-assisted features) are suggestions, not promises. Watch what you like.
- Sponsor messages may appear in clearly-marked spots. Sponsors don't receive any information about you.
- The app evolves constantly; features may change, and we may update the app automatically.
5. Fair use of the service
Don't abuse the service: no scraping, no attempting to access other people's data or groups you weren't invited to, no reverse engineering, no using the app to send spam, and no interfering with its operation.
6. Termination
You can stop using Plum Choice at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including immediately and without notice for violations of the community rules in section 3.
7. Plum Safety
Plum Safety lets the people in your safety circle see where you are and know when you need help. It is not an emergency service, and it does not contact police, fire or ambulance. It depends on things outside our control, including your phone's signal, battery and location accuracy, notifications being delivered, and the people in your circle seeing them and responding. We cannot promise it will work every time, and you should not rely on it as your only way to get help. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. The call button in Plum Safety dials the number for the country your phone is in, but you are responsible for placing the call.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Plum Choice is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us to use it (currently: nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll note it in the app's What's New and update the date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
